 Fotografie Inleidend deur afstandonderrig met ons hulp in Julie by Sips en Tweede Semester Fotografie en Grafiese Rekenaars

Hierdie kursus is saamgestel vir diegene wat nou in skakel en die Fotografie tuisonderrig kursus met ons hulp gaan klaarmaak voor 20 Julie en daarna saam met die voltydse studente met Fotografie gevorderd  op Stellenbosch mee aangaan.

     

Basiese digitale fotografie kursus

 

Deur hierdie kursus in die gerief van jou eie woning te voltooi, sal jy al die belangrikste beginsels onder die knie kry om briljante foto’s te neem.  Ook om n portefeulje op te bou en digitale fotografie toe te pas.

 

Kursus materiale bestaan uit ‘drie Dvd’s, drie handboeke (op CD) en projekte wat voltooi moet word en vir ons gestuur moet word vir evalueering.

Studente kan enige tyd van die jaar registreer en die kursus begin. Daar is geen vereistes om te registreer nie.

Daar is altyd ‘n dosent vir advies per telefoon, of e-pos beskikbaar gedurende die 12 maande wat jy het om die kursus te doen.

 

Jy leer stap-vir-stap

 

Ingesluit in die afstandonderig kursus is die volgende:
  • Die eerste afdeling van drie se notas,’n ligsensitiewe fotopapier om jou eerste handgemaakte kamera se foto mee te neem en ‘n Dvd  vir jou eerste lesing.
  • Ons leer jou en demonstreer die tegnieke wat die pro’s laat bo uitkom het.
  • Terselfdertyd ontvang jy die eerste twee projeke wat aan die einde van die eerste afdeling voltooi moet word en teruggestuur moet word vir evaluering.
  • Hierna stuur ons die tweede afdeling met kritiek  van die eerste projek. Ons laat ook toe dat studente wat naby Stellenbosch bly persoonlik vir hierdie evaluerings inkom.
  • Daar word ook deur die loop van die kursus per e-pos of telefoon met ons dosente geskakel indien daar vrae of verduidelikings benodig word. Op hierdie manier gaan jy op ‘n gedissiplineerde en lekker pas deur die kursus.
  • Jy het 12 maande om die kursus te voltooi. Ons oud studente het gemiddeld nege maande geneem, sommige professionele studente wat onder werkdruk was het ons selfs uitstel gegee na 14 maande.
  • ‘n Teoretiese eksamen oor die notas, ongeveer  200 bladsye  word aan die einde geskryf  by enige opvoedkundige instelling naby aan jou om ‘n Sips sertifikaat te verwerf.

Na hierdie afstand onderrig foto kursus kan jy dan VOLTYDS by ons tweede semester op Stellenbosch inval en die gevorderde fotografie kursus doen.

1. Advanced photography

Tuesdays and Thursdays

Moving towards the second semester the student will learn more advanced
specialized techniques that will prove the student a truly professional
photographer. The student will attend workshops from the best of the best
photographers in the Western-Cape and will visit highly equipped studios in
Cape Town for training.

You will complete workshops in some of the following:

Medical photography, Documentary photography, Advertising photography,
Food photography, Industrial photography, Wedding photography, Wine and Packshot photography, Commercial photography, Kiddie photography, Digital Photography, High speed photography, Scientific photography, meduim format Photography, Toners and tinting of photographs, Advance Studio lighting, Landscape photography, Art photography, Fashion photography, Photographic make-up, Theatre photography, Zone system, Photo studio management and Portfolios

Practical Projects each week:

You will also have to complete a thesis of every workshop attended and most
workshops will have a theoretical lecture.
Your portfolio will consist of the above workshops and you will also work in
a one hour lab for one week to gain practical experience of lab management.
Black and white darkroom work will also be compulsory. Visual Communication will also be included during the theory lectures. Practical assignments for the rest of the week.

2.1 CorelDraw    Mondays 9.00- 13.00 from 21 July until 25 October.

CorelDraw layout,Toolbox,Name of all tools in toolbox,All the different tools available,Tools,Purpose of tool,How to use tools,Roll-ups,Layers,How to work with layers,Re-draw scanned pictures,Bitmaps & Vectors,Difference between the two,File formats,All graphic file formats for different purposes,Special effects,Artistic text,Paragraph text,Dockers,Designing,Keyboard shortcuts.

Practical Projects: Design a brochure, logo, letterhead and other corporate ID. for your business.

2.2 PhotoShop

Basic Photoshop

Basic Photoshop is a course that aims to teach students everything they need to know to get them started in this powerful piece of software that is Adobe Photoshop. The Basic Photoshop Course consists of 10 Sections and practical assignments.
 

What you will learn:
            * Workspace & Tools            * Pallets & Menu’s            * Image Adjustments             * Filter Menu            * Organizing files            * Correcting images            * Repairing images
            * Retouching images            * Enhancing images            * Adding special effects

 Advanced Photoshop

 Full time: One morning per week from July 21 to end of October. (part of Sips Graphic computer course)

Advanced Photoshop takes an in-depth look at the software and the advanced capabilities of the tools and functions inside of Photoshop. The aim of the course is to equip students with enough skill and knowledge to use Photoshop accurately and with absolute control. The Advanced Photoshop Course consists of 10 Sections and 10 practical assignments plus a Photoshop Portfolio Design assignment.

            * Blurring filters            * Sharpening filters            * Masking            * Working with Layers            * Layer Styles and Adjustment Layers            * Layer Groups and Comps
            * Text and Texture Effects            * Understanding Blend Modes            * Transformation Tools            * Advanced Retouching and Creating creative backgrounds
